The program began with the Preparatory Visit (3-6 May). The Team Leader from our organization was Konstantinos Mirtsos, and he actively participated in the first meeting that was organized in Gonio. The target was to get to know each other and be informed about the procedures of the specific Youth Exchange.
Between May 27 – June 4, 2025, the European School Radio team had the pleasure of participating in the Erasmus+ youth exchange “Connecting Through Sports” in Gonio, Georgia. The program brought together young people from various European countries with the aim of promoting inclusion, respect, and intercultural dialogue through the universal language of sports.
Our team consisted of six participants, Konstantinos Mirtsos, Nikolaos Pelekas, Tzoulio Konti, Ioannis Karatzas, Apostolos Panos &Alexandros Dilaveris, giving us the chance to enrich the cultural evening with live Greek music. We also shared a traditional dish and presented our organization to the group, highlighting the work of European School Radio as the first student-run educational radio in Europe.
Throughout the exchange, our team took part in workshops, team-building games, discussions on mobility and youth opportunities, and activities that challenged stereotypes. It was an inspiring and empowering experience that strengthened our belief in the value of non-formal education.
We return with new friends, ideas, and memories — ready to share what we’ve learned and keep promoting youth voice through media.
