Hey there 👋!

Before we dive into creating our very first podcast for European School Radio, let’s take a moment to chat about what a podcast actually is.

Imagine a radio show that you can listen to at your own pace, anytime, anywhere. That’s essentially what a podcast is – a series of digital audio files that you can download or stream on your computer or mobile device.

These audio files, or episodes, can cover a wide range of topics and are usually hosted by individuals who lead engaging conversations, share fascinating stories, or report on the latest news. You can find them on various streaming apps like Spotify, Stitcher, iTunes, Google Podcasts, and Apple Podcasts.

The cool thing about the term ‘podcast’ is that it’s a blend of ‘iPod’ and ‘broadcast’. It’s a super convenient medium for both listeners and creators. For creators, there are platforms that allow you to publish your own content. For listeners, it’s like having an on-demand internet radio show.

Now that we’ve got a handle on what a podcast is, we’re all set to start our exciting project with European School Radio. Thanks for being part of this adventure!
