\"\"The European School Radio received an official invitation to participate from Europarl Radio<\/a><\/strong>, the web radio of the European Parliament<\/strong>, as part of the European Youth Event 2025 (EYE2025)<\/a>,<\/strong> which took place in Strasbourg on June 13\u201314, 2025<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

EYE is a unique event that brings together thousands of young people from across the EU, offering them a platform to exchange ideas, get inspired, and actively engage in the European dialogue. The program included a wide range of engaging interviews, discussions, podcasts, and music from all over Europe. Within this context, Europarl Radio launched an open call for podcast submissions on topics related to the European Union, inviting youth-focused radio networks \u2013 among them, European School Radio, to contribute their voice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Responding to this honorable invitation, European School Radio proposed the participation of Konstantinos Rafail Pangalos, an undergraduate student at the School of Journalism and Mass Media Communication at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with his podcast titled:<\/span>
“European Journalism: Reflections of a Young Journalist for a Better Tomorrow.”<\/span><\/p>\n

This audio production explores the importance of citizen awareness, the role of journalism in strengthening European identity, and the challenges faced by the EU during times of crisis, such as the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. At the same time, it highlights innovative initiatives like the YouthRadio.eu<\/strong> platform, developed through the European partnership Kids Radio Europe, which promotes multilingualism, youth participation, and the educational use of audio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although the episode was not selected for live broadcast on Europarl Radio\u2019s program, its contribution to the European discourse is timely and meaningful. Europarl Radio praised the podcast as highly interesting, addressing topics relevant to young people and reflecting core EU values.<\/span><\/p>\n

Its production showcases the potential of youth journalism and reaffirms the role of European School Radio as a vital platform for amplifying the voice of young people across Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n
