The proposal received a high evaluation score and is among <\/span><strong style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 0.875rem;\" data-start=\"352\" data-end=\"397\">seven (7) programs selected across Europe<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 0.875rem;\"> in the field of <\/span><strong style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 0.875rem;\" data-start=\"414\" data-end=\"432\">Media Literacy<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 0.875rem;\"> (<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/opportunities\/projects-details\/43251814\/101136199\">https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/opportunities\/projects-details\/43251814\/101136199<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 0.875rem;\">). The start date is <\/span><strong style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 0.875rem;\" data-start=\"616\" data-end=\"635\">March 1st, 2024<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 0.875rem;\">, and the duration is <\/span><strong style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 0.875rem;\" data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"670\">two years<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 0.875rem;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"699\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Purpose of the Project<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"1043\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The aim of the project is to create a modern, <strong data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"806\">common European platform for student podcasts and radio<\/strong> with <strong data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"852\">artificial intelligence capabilities<\/strong>. Throughout its duration, tools will be developed to incorporate the <strong data-start=\"922\" data-end=\"968\">audio productions of school radio stations<\/strong> from <strong data-start=\"974\" data-end=\"1005\">France, Germany, and Greece<\/strong> into a <strong data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1042\">shared podcast repository<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1592\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1066\">Kids Radio Europe<\/strong> seeks to promote <strong data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1103\">free expression<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1122\">participation<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1175\">empowerment of children and adolescents<\/strong> through radio practice and media in general. By adopting pedagogical approaches that foster <strong data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1295\">critical media literacy<\/strong> and reflect on the influence of media in education, school radio stations operating at <strong data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1415\">regional and national levels<\/strong> in France, Germany, and Greece will be integrated into a <strong data-start=\"1473\" data-end=\"1499\">unified radio platform<\/strong>. This collaboration aims to support a <strong data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1591\">more participatory, social, and democratic Europe<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1697\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Through the program, thousands of children, adolescents, and young people will have the opportunity to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1699\" data-end=\"2411\">\n<li data-start=\"1699\" data-end=\"1967\">\n<p data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1967\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Express themselves creatively through radio (FM and internet), talk about themselves, what they enjoy and do, discuss issues that concern them, and broadcast the music they love \u2014 at home, at school, or in recreational centers, within their cities and neighborhoods.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1968\" data-end=\"2142\">\n<p data-start=\"1970\" data-end=\"2142\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Promote their own creative works, explore the world around them, and <strong data-start=\"2039\" data-end=\"2073\">interact with peers and adults<\/strong> from different cultural environments, <strong data-start=\"2112\" data-end=\"2141\">broadening their horizons<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2143\" data-end=\"2254\">\n<p data-start=\"2145\" data-end=\"2254\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong data-start=\"2145\" data-end=\"2182\">Develop Active Citizenship skills<\/strong> by highlighting young people\u2019s concerns, needs, suggestions, and ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2255\" data-end=\"2411\">\n<p data-start=\"2257\" data-end=\"2411\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Understand and verify <strong data-start=\"2279\" data-end=\"2302\">information sources<\/strong>, the intent behind content creation, and use this understanding effectively in their own content production.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"2413\" data-end=\"2447\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Main Activities of the Program<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"2449\" data-end=\"3217\">\n<li data-start=\"2449\" data-end=\"2716\">\n<p data-start=\"2451\" data-end=\"2716\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong data-start=\"2451\" data-end=\"2527\">Creation of a European online radio station for children and adolescents<\/strong>, hosted on a digital platform and connected to a network of local radio stations in each country (national, regional, and\/or local), which will feed content into the European online radio.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2718\" data-end=\"2915\">\n<p data-start=\"2720\" data-end=\"2915\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Organization of <strong data-start=\"2736\" data-end=\"2801\">radio festivals, educational workshops, and training programs<\/strong> that will support the creation of <strong data-start=\"2836\" data-end=\"2876\">interactive media literacy materials<\/strong> for educators and youth across Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2917\" data-end=\"3217\">\n<p data-start=\"2919\" data-end=\"2967\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong data-start=\"2919\" data-end=\"2964\">Experimentation in three innovative areas<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"2970\" data-end=\"3217\">\n<li data-start=\"2970\" data-end=\"3055\">\n<p data-start=\"2973\" data-end=\"3055\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Use of <strong data-start=\"2980\" data-end=\"3007\">artificial intelligence<\/strong> for research and translation of audio content<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3058\" data-end=\"3127\">\n<p data-start=\"3061\" data-end=\"3127\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong data-start=\"3061\" data-end=\"3104\">Inclusion of children with disabilities<\/strong> in radio productions<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3130\" data-end=\"3217\">\n<p data-start=\"3133\" data-end=\"3217\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong data-start=\"3133\" data-end=\"3163\">Involvement of journalists<\/strong> from various European countries in international fora<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3219\" data-end=\"3396\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The project is implemented by a <strong data-start=\"3251\" data-end=\"3286\">consortium of four (4) partners<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"3290\" data-end=\"3321\">France, Germany, and Greece<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong data-start=\"3345\" data-end=\"3353\">EDMO<\/strong> through significant national stakeholders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=\u00a0\u00bb9260&Prime;
